Hamilton Dahlia Farm is a 4 acre dahlia farm in southwestern Michigan. We specialize in cut flowers for florists, weddings, and two local farmers' markets. We are a small family owned and operated business and we're known for our quality cut flowers and friendly service.
We encourage you visit the farm to enjoy the beautiful flowers! The farm is always open for you to enjoy, we kindly ask that you take only pictures and leave only footprints (please don't cut the flowers!). If you would like to visit HDF, bring your camera and see our contact us page for directions. You'll be glad that you did!
If you visit the farm, please take an informational brochure from the mailbox on your way in. It will give you some info on our business and how to find your way around the farm. If you don't need it anymore, recycle it on your way out! Enjoy your visit!
Best time of year to visit for peak season: August and September
Janet Koop Brondyke is the owner of this family owned business which was started by her father, Harvey Koop, in the late 1950s. Harvey was one of the largest dahlia growers in the world at one time with 90 acres. He grew the dahlias only for the tubers, which he sold wholesale across the country. His dahlias were featured on the back of Kelloggs' cereal boxes from 1959-1963. You could order them for 2/$0.50 or 5/$1.00 including shipping! Janet took over the business in 2000 and has expanded the business to selling cut flowers along with the tubers.
